Outback Queensland is one of my favourite places to visit. This harsh but beautiful country is at its best after the rains when a multitude of plants and bushes flower. This is a time of plenty, when the birdlife takes advantage of the conditions and begins breeding. Honeyeaters appear from distant parts, and resident parrots and cockatoos start checking out suitable hollows.
