Dear Parrots magazine,
Green-cheeked mutations
In contrast to Andrew Stevens, I think the article by Pauline James on the new colour varieties of Green-cheeked Conures was colourful and informative, and showed some fine examples of these birds.
I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and everyone has different ideals, but can see no reason to denigrate the birds themselves, and by inference the breeders, who have given their time and effort in establishing these conures in aviculture, which is no mean achievement.
