Dear Parrots magazine,
Looking for Spraat
I am on a hunt for the person that took in our parrot many years ago. My mother found someone to look after him in NE London before 1996 when we wanted him to have a better life with other birds.
A lovely man came from NE London who had taken the ceiling out of his house so that birds could fly freely there. We had a hope that a lady bird he had might befriend our parrot who was known as ‘Spraat’. My mother's brother had passed him onto us when he could no longer care for him, as he had young children and was worried about fingers in his cage.
I know this is a massive long shot as my mum has no further information than this, but I would so dearly love to get in touch with the man who took Spraat in, that I thought I would give it a try to write to Parrots magazine.
Do you have any ideas for me about how I could go forward to find the gentleman and find out about Spraat? Thank you so much for any thoughts you may have.
Best Wishes,
Kate Shaw, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
