It appears the issue of culling feral parakeets is going to continue, and I am in total agreement with the editor’s ‘Soapbox’ in the October issue of parrots.

My youngest daughter (13 yrs old) has always had a passion for a budgie or cockatiel, and has always shown a mature attitude towards all animals. Almost a year ago, she started to look around and there was always a resistant to go to a pet shop, as generally, it seems they don’t have a very good reputation.
